My passion for this work stems from my personal experience as the first person in my family to graduate from college. I was fortunate to have a counselor who recognized my academic potential and encouraged me to seek challenging educational opportunities.  As a parent, I “traveled the journey” and launched my son to college in 2009.  The guiding principle for my work is simply stated:

                         Potential + Planning = Possibilities

• It is important to prepare students to be able to apply to 4-year colleges and universities
• College selection should focus on "fit"
• The college application process is a family affair, led by the student

• Self reflection: understanding oneself first and then figuring out colleges that match
• Work "inside out" and "outside in" to achieve a balance and fit
• Work with student to develop solid profile
• Guide student to let his/her "best self" shine through
• Help students and parents understand their role in the college application process
