Antoinette Battiste is the founder and President of Educational Pathways with Antoinette Battiste, a consulting practice that provides personalized educational strategies for students and their parents.

Ms. Battiste has many years of experience working with the following constituent groups in the nonprofit and corporate sectors: students and parents; executive directors, governing boards and donors of nonprofit organizations; and project teams, executives and customers of start-up and established companies.  Ms. Battiste is highly successful in partnering her extensive corporate and nonprofit management experience with a passion for equity and access in education.

As Interim Executive Director for Foundation for College Education (FCE) she led staff in developing, enhancing and delivering College Bound and College Success Programs designed to increase the number of low-income and students of color pursuing and receiving a 4-year college education; 200+ students and parents receive direct services annually.   Prior to accepting the role of Interim ED, she served on FCE’s Board of Directors as President and Vice President for 7 years, and played a key role in guiding FCE to its current position of strength.
 Ms. Battiste also served as the project management consultant to the NASA Ames Research Center Education Office.  She identified, designed and convened two events by garnering participation from Ames divisions, community partners and other NASA centers.  The goal of these events was to excite and engage students in science and technology and ignite their thinking about future career goals.  The events were attended by nearly 2,000 Bay Area students. f

Additionally, Ms. Battiste has held senior level program management positions with various technology companies in Silicon Valley, including Symbol Technology, Palm, 3Com and Hitachi. She was a respected manager with a proven track record of building and leading diverse teams responsible for executing the vision of an organization.

A long-time volunteer with the YWCA of the Mid-Peninsula, Ms. Battiste served on the Board of Directors for 12 years, five of them in the capacity of president. Ms. Battiste is also a founding member of the YWCA of the Mid-Peninsula Donor Advised Fund Committee, an advised fund of the Women's Foundation of California. Her professional memberships include: Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA Associate Member), Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC), National College Access Network (NCAN), Santa Clara County Alliance of Black Educators (SCCABE), National Association of Black School Educators (NABSE), and Women of Color Action Network (WCAN).  Ms. Battiste also serves as a regional representative for the Morehouse College Parent Council and chairs the Northern California Association of Morehouse Parents. Ms. Battiste is Co-Chair of the Evergreen Valley High School African-American Parent Coalition and  past president of the Board of Directors for the Evergreen Valley High School Band Boosters.  She is a member of Rho Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Antoinette received a BA in Psychology and African & African-American Studies from Stanford University and an MBA in Information Systems from Golden Gate University.  She also received a Specialized Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego Extension.
